How to Get Perfect Passport Photos in Minutes

Passport photos are easy to get wrong, and getting one rejected usually means going back and starting the application again. A few small things sorted out beforehand make the difference. The most useful of them is simply knowing what the photo is for, because the size and framing depend entirely on who is receiving it.

• Wear a solid-color shirt with sleeves to avoid shadows.
• Skip hats, sunglasses, and heavy accessories.
• Keep your expression neutral with a natural, relaxed gaze.
• Bring your existing passport or local ID for verification.

Tell us the size you have been asked for and we will crop to it. If you have the application form or instruction sheet with you, bring it — it is quicker and more reliable than guessing.

One honest caveat

No photographer can promise a photo will be accepted. Embassies, consulates, immigration offices and employers each set their own rules, and those rules change without announcement. What we can do is shoot and print to the specification you give us. If your application states a photo requirement in writing, that document is the authority — not us, and not a general guide like this one.
