Tell us what the photo is for

This is the single most useful thing you can do. Different applications ask for different sizes, backgrounds and head positioning, and the requirements are set by whoever is receiving your application — an embassy, an immigration office, an employer or a university.

If you tell us which application it is for, we will shoot and crop to the size you have been asked for. If you are not sure, bring the instruction sheet or the form with you and we will read it together.

What to wear

• A plain, solid-colour top with sleeves
• No hat, no sunglasses, no heavy accessories
• A neutral expression, looking straight at the camera
• Bring your passport or ID if the application needs the details to match

Digital copies

Many applications now want an uploaded file as well as a printed photo. We can give you the digital version on a USB drive at the same time, sized to what the application asks for, so you are not re-scanning a print later.

An honest note on acceptance

We shoot to the size and framing you ask for, and we print on proper photo stock. What we cannot do is guarantee that a particular embassy, consulate or office will accept a given photo — that decision is always theirs, and requirements change without notice. If your application has a written photo specification, bring it and we will follow it exactly.
