Walking into a print shop with the wrong file can derail your schedule. Use this step-by-step guide to make sure your artwork is press-ready before you arrive at SSCOPY.

1. Confirm File Format & Resolution

Export PDFs using the "Press Quality" preset whenever possible. For images, stick to 300 DPI at final size. Vector artwork from Illustrator or Canva should include converted fonts or embedded typefaces.

2. Check Colour Management

  • Set documents to CMYK (not RGB) for predictable colour output.
  • When using spot colours, include Pantone references so we can match them closely.
  • Add a small colour bar on the artboard if you need a specific brand colour verified during printing.

3. Include Bleed & Safe Margins

Extend backgrounds 3 mm past the trim edge to avoid white lines and keep text at least 5 mm inside the safe zone. If you are unsure, add crop marks when exporting and we will double-check.

4. Note Finishing Requirements

  • Specify folding style (tri-fold, half-fold) directly in the filename.
  • For binding, list the number of sets and the orientation (long edge vs short edge).
  • Let us know if you need laminate, hole punching, or cutting so we can book the correct equipment.

Bonus Tip: Send Files in Advance

Email us via sscopyemail@gmail.com or upload through the SSCOPY order form. We will preflight your files and alert you if adjustments are required, ensuring same-day turnaround when you arrive.
